once upon a pomello

Once upon a time a handsome orange and a lovely grapefruit fell in love. They were married and had a giant baby. They named him Pomello and he was delicious.

He one of my favorite snacks here. He cost practically nothing, he's everywhere, and he's fun to peel. Go to the store and find him. Then eat him. Then report back to me, and tell me how much you enjoyed it

  1. Woah! I totally missed out! I don't think I remember those at all...good work China for making strange hybrid fruits (we would eat these weird peach hybrid things)

Just wait till mango season...they are probably the most delicious things I have ever eaten, and they always peeled one for us so we could eat it right there!

  3. We have one sitting on our counter right now, ripening to perfection before we dig in. One of our favorites, too. But I must say, the pomello isn't quite as good as the actual yodzi.
